Five Hours in Frankfurt: A Short Layover Itinerary
Apfelwein from fermented apples is a famous drink to try in Frankfurt
A layover in Frankfurt, Germany on the way from Nairobi to Washington, DC turned into a perfect chance to experience the city as a daytime traveler. With just five hours to explore, efficiency was key and a guided city tour made it possible to see far more than expected. From historic landmarks to scenic river views and memorable meals, Frankfurt revealed itself as much more than a business hub. Even a short stop offered a rewarding glimpse into the city’s culture, architecture, and surprisingly vibrant food scene.
